MVTI Board of Advisors

The Mechanical Ventilation Training Institute (MVTI) is seeking individuals who share our commitment to advancing evidence-based mechanical ventilation education and improving patient outcomes across emergency, critical care, transport, and rural healthcare settings.

As MVTI continues to grow nationally and internationally, we are establishing a Board of Advisors to provide strategic guidance, clinical insight, and academic perspective in support of our mission:

To become the worldwide leader in mechanical ventilation training, ensuring every healthcare professional receives the highest-quality education so no patient suffers due to poor mechanical ventilation care.

Purpose of the Board of Advisors

The MVTI Board of Advisors serves in a non-governing, advisory capacity, supporting the organization through:

  • Strategic guidance on educational direction and long-term vision

  • Clinical and academic input to ensure content remains current, rigorous, and evidence-based

  • Insight into emerging trends in mechanical ventilation, transport medicine, and healthcare education

  • Support for partnerships, accreditation, research, and industry collaboration

  • Advocacy for MVTI’s mission within professional and academic communities

Board members play a vital role in shaping MVTI as a gold-standard educational institution, while respecting the organization’s operational independence.

Who Should Apply

We welcome interest from individuals with demonstrated expertise and leadership experience in areas such as:

  • Emergency Medicine, Pulmonary & Critical Care, Anesthesiology, or Transport Medicine

  • Respiratory Therapy (clinical practice, education, or leadership)

  • Nursing (critical care, emergency, transport, academic, or leadership roles)

  • Paramedicine, EMS leadership, or critical care transport

  • Medical education, instructional design, or academic program leadership

  • Healthcare leadership, quality improvement, research, or systems design

  • Medical device, simulation, or healthcare innovation (non-commercial advisory roles)

Applicants should demonstrate a strong alignment with MVTI’s mission, values, and commitment to ethical, learner-centered education.

Expectations & Terms of Appointment

  • Appointments to the Board of Advisors are made in accordance with the MVTI Policy Manual

  • Terms of service, roles, responsibilities, and renewal processes are defined therein

  • The Board of Advisors functions in an advisory capacity

  • Participation may include scheduled meetings, structured feedback, and ad-hoc consultation

  • Board service is voluntary unless otherwise specified in writing

Formal appointment occurs only after review, mutual agreement, and written confirmation by MVTI leadership.
